Our New SmartBoard Has Arrived!

On Friday, May 21, our new SmartBoard was installed in the HEDCO Technology Support Center. The SmartBoard that had been in the Technology Center since the opening was a loaner until our new one was ready. You will notice a big difference!

While this SmartBoard offers the same wonderful features (and more) it is mounted on the wall and takes up a lot less real-estate. I am working with IT and the SmartBoard vendor to plan a SmartBoard training session in July. More details on the training will follow!

Special Projects Last Week: A Day of Sharing & Learning at the Deans Conference

The Deans Conference on Tuesday, May 18 was a huge success! This day proved that we have a lot that we can learn from each other and that we also have much to share about the exciting things we are doing! I learned a great deal from all of the presentations.

Thanks for a great attendance at my workshops, “Podcasting with PowerPoint” and “Using and Sharing Course Content with the Creative Commons License: How & Why?” I have posted the handouts from these workshops on the Faculty Development/Instructional Technology Guide.

If you would like assistance integrating either PowerPoint podcasts or Creative Commons licensed materials into your courses please let me know!
